About TEAM 54 PROJECT

                            Who we are​​

The sensitive nature of Climate Change and its negative impact in Africa, as projected by the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change (UNFCCC) spurred the formation of this organization in 2016.
​

The report from UNFCCC clear states that, Africa will be the continent at the most receiving end of the impact of climate change.

Our founder, understanding this sensitive report and knowing too well that most African are not too educated to know the technical details within the report and its implication on future endeavors especially the impending climate catastrophe that lays ahead, plus the crisis already been faced in his country Nigeria related to climate change.

He decided to create this initiative which he tagged “CLIMATE CHANGE GLOBAL QUEST PROJECT”, a project being coordinated by TEAM 54 PROJECT, the number 54 was chosen because there are 54 African countries on the continent but a few months later members that joined the group pleaded that the platform be expanded into including other nations and with rising interest from the ever-growing membership the original mandate was adjusted to accommodate a global mandate.

The project starts with raising awareness primarily and getting people to take climate action which Team 54 Project coordinate. Then we reach out to stakeholders and ask advanced nations to assist vulnerable communities address and mitigate some of the effects of climate change by sharing ideas and transferring available technology and secondarily, education of members and residents within their communities on what possible climate actions to take to mitigate and adapt to the changing times, bearing in mind that the current impact of climate change experienced globally is majorly a cumulative effect of human activities.​

The organization was able to achieve its goals by finding and partnering with passionate individuals, climate change leaders and organizations that share a similar vision.

It has successfully revolutionized the way climate change advocacy is being done especially in raising awareness, educating and enlightening communities.

 

OUR REVOLUTIONARY IDEA

There will be QUEST/ENGAGEMENT, we are currently executing many, they are endorsed by the TEAM 54 PROJECT by the Board with support from all our global members.

 

WHAT QUALIFIES FOR A QUEST/ENGAGEMENT?

They are as follows;

1. Attending training that discusses climate change.

2. Speeches/presentation on climate change.

3. Organizing workshop and conferences on climate change.

4. Supporting and partnering with similar organizations that share our goals.

5. Joining and taking part in organized marches or rallies for climate change and solutions.

6. Granting TV/Radio interviews to talk about climate change. 

7. Encouraging research work on climate change that will be published and presented at international events credited to TEAM 54 PROJECT counts as a QUEST/ENGAGEMENT. 

8. Signing and delivering of petitions in support of Climate Change.

9. Support for clean renewable energy.

10.Creations of opportunities that will lead to decent green jobs

 

At the end of these quests will be an annual conference called the Grand Finale which in be an event to make the end of the year activities and plans for the new year. 

Members who have been active will be made Ambassadors alongside notable international figures who have supported the protection of our environment globally will be acknowledged
