THIS IS MY STORY AND JOURNEY INTO CLIMATE CHANGE MOVEMENT

It is good news that we have about 9 or more international invitations to make presentations at climate change conferences around the world following the submission of few of my research work on climate change, mainly from an African perspective. Plans are in gear to attend all engagements invited, but there are limitations to overcome however that won't stop us from attending this conferences. This is in light of the sensitive nature of Climate Change and its impact.

Though working tirelessly to overcome some of these hurdles through you support as TEAM 54 PROJECT, with an invitation to attend the 4th International Climate Change Conference in Rome, Italy by October 2017. The plan is to take at least 1 or 2 members of TEAM 54 PROJECT with me. Therefore we urge active TEAM 54 members who will be selected to prepare to travel with me as we bring to the attention of the world the climate change impact in Africa.

Surprisingly, am a man of many parts, most of TEAM 54 international members may not know; Parry W.Burnap, Monica Houtz Mayotte and Jill MacIntyre Witt. It appears that the Climate Reality Project organization have an excellent selection process lucky for me, I was selected and really would want more Africans in involved in the climate reality training. Since Africa is said to be the most vulnerable continent by 2020.

Moving forward, I agree that my birth was for a purpose, placed in West Africa precisely Nigeria and located within the southeastern region to do great things. One of which is to help sustain the climate change momentum around the world. These are the few contribution I am making to secure and establish an ecologically sustainable environment for my kids; Kendu, Ethan, and their friends. Children from all over the globe need to be able to play and live sustainably in a society without Carbon dioxide pollutions, without leaking or flaring gasses mainly seen in oil producing countries. No one should be exposed to black soot-like smoke that has severe health implications if inhaled. In order for everyone to understand my passion and motivation.

I will add at this point so motivating events. Privileged to attend the COP 22 United Nations Framework & Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) in Marrakech, Morocco.

At the COP 22 event, I met 2 Nigerian ministers and few ministers from other nations, the discussion centered around the preparation for climate change impact in their respective countries, somehow the former Minister of Environment Amina. J Mohammed won my heart, she reminded me of the need to take urgent steps in Nigeria explaining that the destruction of the pipeline would only make things worse as the oil spillage will further deplete and destroy remaining natural resources, touched by all she said my hope for my nation became reactivated.

Sadly, I hear that she is the current Deputy-Secretary General of UN confirmed a few weeks ago. Renewed fears emerged she was working on the Nigeria, National Action Plans (NAPs) and National contributions towards reducing industrial emissions by 2020, sensing that her absence may slow, the little progress that the country is making. I have decided to join the Climate Change Momentum and train as a Climate Reality Fellow/Leader, which I have concluded under the direct tutelage of Mr Al Gore in Denver, Colorado.

I immediately connected with people during my training, including Mr Al Gore, who I had a one on one discussion with, unknown to him that I have already started my act of leadership, through article writing , established of a Facebook blog called "54 climate change global quest for Africa" aka TEAM 54 PROJECT, discuss informed facts about climate change its impact and possible climate action to do, in order to raise awareness of the impact in Africa. This TEAM 54 PROJECT approach to raising awareness is revolutionary because the awareness campaign is done globally and not in Africa.

Then my encounter with Al Gore on the 2nd of March 2017 in Denver Colorado. He Said " Daniel, it is good you are raising awareness of the impact of climate change on your continent as I have taught you, however it will much better or may be the best to take Climate Action", insisting that we will win this and that we have what it takes to solve the climate change problem. I was star-struck when he said he liked my traditional African attire, indigenous to the southern tribe in my Country, though I infused a western touch into my dress by wearing a shirt and black trousers. Dickson a dentist designed the attire the designer is also on this Facebook page. He reminded me the passion I had when I joined the climate change momentum and the importance of this passion it is what sustains the momentum on a personal basis. I then got an idea why not explore the power behind the individual passion and make it the engine to push for an ecologically sustainable world but with attention for Africa, with that thought I mind, I intend to get him international fashion show where he can also through this shows raise awareness on climate change, Dickson Fabiawari keep up the good work. Climate Reality Africa representative from South Africa a wonderful Gillian Hamilton must be commended but her alone can't get the universal climate message across the continent, more persons are needed and more nations in Africa must be reached to show commitment and must join the climate change momentum. Hence my commitment to continue to reach out to all of Africa with the assistance of the global community. This message is to everyone on this blog, we must reach out to every African to tell them about Climate Change and the need to act either through mitigation steps or suggest simple adaptive approaches they can do or introduce the blog. Generally, Africans especially youths are upset with the kind of leadership the continent has experienced in the last 5years. Unfortunately, it appears that the death of our African hero Nelson Mandela slowed down our African leaders who till today, can't fill his shoes.

Though South Africa seems to be inching gradually to the renewable market but more needs to be done. I must commend, the King of Morocco His Majesty King Mohammed VI, he was the host of COP22. His robust plans to transform his country from the fossil driven economic system to Green Innovative technology is commendable and visionary, his appointment of His Excellency Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar only helped to consolidate his NAPs goals for his nation and has ushered in Morocco into the global community as a potential green nation. Mr. Mezouar I met is a seasoned administration, the foreign affairs minister of Morroco and a strong believer in the climate change train, and also a good friend and a great African leader, I also met other wonderful people like Dr. Pintos and Pam Sotire from the UK, a consultant in investment potential of going green. She too is a strong member of TEAM 54 PROJECT, she is the Special Technical expert and head Strategist for likely expansion opportunities in our group she also is on this blog and actively campaigning for Africa. Anyway, I promised all TEAM 54 PROJECT members that our path in this climate change movement will shock the world and work with others organization, NGO and individuals will be encouraged by the leadership of TEAM 54 with a view to achieving appreciable development in an ecologically sensitive world. Our campaign, especially using the Facebook and recently the Twitter system has been the game changer, raising awareness just got to another level, with possibilities of partnership. I sincerely hope and pray that more African governments will show genuine commitment and support the green philosophy while other advanced nations render as much support either through necessary transfer of technology or incentivization of the approaches to combat climate change, this will increase opportunities for more African like, Dickson, Ugo, Jallow, Gloria Kasang Bulus, Keeruthi Shruti TEAM 54, was able to connect with Moreno Luz a Climate change leader in Mexico she has promised to convert our TEAM 54 PROJECT Poem written by a brilliant Gambia lady whose name is Isatou elitesha Jallow (@elitesha96) into Spanish language in order to tell the African story to a wider Latin continent, making Jallow who has a passion for poetry happy, again this her passion I advised that she writes a poem for TEAM 54 and she did it's on our facebook blog, it is receiving the need global attention creating likely opportunity please do follow her on our blog here or, her twitter @elitesha96. Jallow's video recital will be out by Thursday 9th, March 2017. do put in your best Jallow. African Youth should maximize the potential of social media systems that are currently available.

young ones should sit down to think of innovative ways to solve problems around them, look at what you are passionate about know how to do it better then, reach out to experts around, you can reach out to me on the blog or to our email or contact phone number. Wasting time on, Ponzi scheme like (MMM), drugs and social vices or primitive spiritual solutions that do not involve hard work, will only lead to one's doom.

Africans must unite and return to the respect of our ancestral values, however, we must start adapting to the changing realities in our world if we except to survive. As Mr.Al Gore would say, it is now abundantly clear that we are the solution. I explored the power of social media with the help of my sister Delight Chimdiuto Gbujie who is now my PA and Ms. Gloria Kasang Bulus, one of our foundering members from Nigeria.

TEAM 54 have brought all the ethnic tribes in my country to the blog we are all working to raise awareness about the climate crisis in Africa with support from other Africans and the ever growing international membership base evident on our blog. The largest of TEAM 54 PROJECT support is from Colorado, and our coordinator on the ground is also Climate Reality Project fellow Parry Burnap.

From just 5 persons in this group we now over 640 persons in 8 weeks and a waiting list of over a 500 people from all over and counting. The major concern and why we moved from an open group to close is so that we can vet individuals added to the blog. This group has made an impact in a very short space of time, an initiative from the founder can contribute greatly to Africans, this is my story a tale so inspiring yet showing that a lot more needs to be done, I know someone is saying is this for REAL?. It is as REAL as CLIMATE CHANGE impact globally experienced .

Ezioma Uchegbu-Gbujie my wife, still thinks it's a dream wake up is not TEAM 54 PROJECT has joined the climate change movement, though she was the one that told me about the power of social media and how her role model woman Linda Ikeji successfully uses the social media space to blog about issues. for our international members, Linda is the most influential blogger and a multi-millionnaire who made wealth by utilizing the power of social media. She has recently diversified into other forms of media, I really wish she could join the climate change train. Then, TEAM, 54 can partner with her to create a Linda-Eco-Gbujie (LEG) blog and showcase different trends going on around the world on climate change and helping young Africans with ideas to show what they can do. there are so many ideas running through my head right now, solely because I am focused on solving an identified problem. Yes, I will raise concerns as I have done concerning the collapsing health system in Nigeria and in other African countries. one of the area of interest in the climate change issue is the health impact of climate change, and I intend to pursue a Ph.D. someday, but for now I have decided to raise awareness and take necessary action, TEAM 54 is in talks with some organization outside of Africa, on how best to take climate action. we are looking at climate campaign towards waste management.

I will expand further by saying Mother EARTH has cried out to mankind with the variables and environmental elements responding and reacting negatively against man, sadly animals are trapped in the middle, some are gone while others are nearing extinction, all primarily due to our activities, in the industrialize and agricultural area just to mention a little. Greenhouse gasses is strangling MOTHER NATURE, with the natural biodiversity depleting, Nations are at arms against themselves while extremes of weather worsen internal and external conflict as reported by UN, worse data are expected in Africa, already my country is in recession and it's not a funny tale, farmers are finding it difficult to farm as rain dependent plants have not seen rain for months, and with the increase in temperature the crops and trees dry up leaving the community with extreme famine, drought and diseases.

A nation that never plans for her young ones will only be ripe for extinction. I am excited that not only is the climate change blog raises awareness of climate change impact in Africa but is connecting talent together. It is a success story t. I have suspended all other ambitions in my life and I am now more than ever before going to follow the climate change momentum. It may sound like a crazy idea, but a sustainable future and the opportunity that it can bring is an appealing quest to me for now.

Therefore, Africans from all over the world, we must start to take our future seriously, I recently was motivated by a new friend I connected with from South Africa. Hon.Hlomela Hlohlo Bucwa, she is the youngest parliament member from the DA Party in South Africa, her inaugural speech spoke to me, and I told her, that I see the Mandela spirit in her, and a friend, we both know Dr. Danny Mokumo, the Deputy Chairperson of Junior Doctors of Africa, the umbrella body of young medical professionals in Africa who are not yet specialist. Again, I say is this not Destiny? For me, it is Destiny but with hard work and determination. TEAM 54 members and those that have not been active now is the time to act. I have given you a little story. and I will want Jallow, Gloria, Ugo and Pam Sotire to also say their story and how they came to connect to this PROJECT.

For the next Climate Reality Project, I want all members of this TEAM 54 PROJECT to apply for the next Climate Reality Project Training. To my countrymen and women, especially young ones, now is the time for us to create a sustainable future, the politics that divide us should be set aside. The little 4-year-old kids namely; Tawa, Onye, Ade, Preye and Kendu my daughter all desire a better future don't you all think so?.

Nigerian youths, Let's look around the world has changed know one waits for an unserious nation not now when the stakes are higher. World powers are realigning the dynamics are changing and our approaches. We must act now, there is a program TEAM 54 PROJECT is trying to set up with the National Association of Resident Doctors in around September 2017, a CLIMATE ACTION is being planned, follow us on our twitter handle or Facebook blog. If you are interested, please let us know, through the Facebook platform or our contact email below.

If you also want to pitch a concept that can help the climate change movement reach out to me or any member of TEAM 54 PROJECT. More information will be given in a few weeks time TEAM 54 members, I want everyone to start coming up with ideas, reach out to me or any person on this platform for advice discover your passion or talent and let's make a better world. We must start thinking of technological innovation, especially in the area of renewable energy Tell your, friends, that are engineers that, they should be able to develop a machine, that can grind things using sunlight, I mean Solar powered grinding machine or Solar machine that can keep food stuff cool without electricity.

Other examples like; Solar powered tailoring machine for artisans to make fine African dresses at a commercial scale that can be exported all over the world, we must start to put Africans back to work. It is time to awake AFRICA, we have slept for too long, awake youths of Africa, this world is for all to share and live in peace and harmony.

I can't fail to mention individuals that have helped me to get to this present state of consciousness, Dr. Osahon Enabulele current Vice-President Common Wealth Medical Association (Africa Region), My Mum Deaconess Mrs Joy Gbujie , Dr. Ugo Chuku who also has seen oil spill and gas flaring destroy his home state in the southern part of Nigeria, hence his desire to support my project, he applied for the Climate Reality Project training but was not selected yet never pulled back his support for TEAM 54 initiative , he even introduced me to Miss Gloria Kasang Bulus who is another great member of our team, she is also our global ambassador, in due time I will get them to tell their stories. It was just 8 weeks ago that our group momentum began, I now agree that the social media is a powerful tool to sell ideas to others that are not in your country about what you are doing, it can help the climate change.

I am on track as I was destined to, that's to be part of the global solution. Somehow it won't come as a surprise to my father, who is a religious man, he told me that my birth was ordained by GOD. He said that the prophecy given to him from GOD, about my birth was "that I won't rest until righteousness becomes as the breaking of the morning sun". Though I would laugh at such strange words, but everything in my life at this moment is making a scene and supports his view. I magnify no other name, but the ALMIGHTY.

All the things that have come my way were to prepare me for a big mission. Dad, Eng. GBUJIE JOHN OLUCHI, I believe now.

I will work until my very end to see that there is a better place for my kids and their friends in Nigeria and in Africa.

Join me in this QUEST to Change Africa, by taking action on climate change. Thank TEAM 54 member

BEST REGARDS
