TEAM 54 PROJECT “Kasugbong Kalibutan 2017: TEAM 54 PROJECT First International Climate Change Confer

As part of the pre conference activities to the “Kasugbong Kalibutan: International Climate Change Conference” happening tomorrow here in Catbalogan City, Miss Earth 2017, Ms. Karen Ibasco visited the youth environment leaders of St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan (SMCC) to campaign for environmental awareness specially for the young Earth warriors of Catbalogan.

The said conference is being hosted by the City Government of Catbalogan in partnership with Team 54 Project, which is an global initiative that raises awareness on the impacts and solutions to resolving climate change in vulnerable continent like Africa through a global perspective.Preparations are being finalized as Catbalogan City hosts the region’s first “International Climate Change Conference” in partnership with Team 54 Project at M Grand Royale Resort, Catbalogan City.

It will be from December 07-08, 2017 and will gather foreign and local environmental advocates and will be highlighted by the launching of Catbalogan City’s localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the strong initiative of City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan.

Delegates of the “Kasugbong Kalibutan: International Climate Change Conference” took to the streets of Catbalogan City to campaign for environmental awareness and reforms. City Mayor Stephany Uy-Tan led the climate walk as the main host of the said conference in partnership with Team 54 Project and Climate Reality Project.

The said walk started at the city plaza gathering more than 200 delegates and ended at the capitol grounds for a short program led by Climate Reality Project - Philippines Country Manager, Mr. Rodne Galicha.

The said international climate change conference was the first of its kind held in the whole region with Catbalogan City at the forefront of the advocacy.
