Kyrgyzstan becomes the 170 nation to join the TEAM 54 PROJECT FAMILY

Kyrgyzstan is a place of geopolitical importance, a provider of freshwater resources for the Central Asian region.

Did you know that all the fresh water origin in Central Asia comes from your nation. The afore-mentioned freshwater resource has many trans-boundary

it feeds and great all the major hydrological basins that sustain lives.

The water source is fed largely by the huge melting glaciers and extensive snow cover in Kyrgyzstan. Any danger to these glaciers and snow cover could severely impact water, food and energy security across a large swathe of Central Asia.

Unfortunately, that danger already exists. As stated in a recent UNDP report 2012.
